SanFran, ThreadShow, Good Eats & Everything In Between

San Francisco is a beautiful town. Slippery when wet and lively at night. A weekend spent there is a weekend spent well, with out regrets. We made it a much-needed, well-deserved vacation. Booked an apartment for the trip and headed out late Friday night. Prepping all month for this event we were exhausted but would never let a Friday night waste!

Got pretty and had some dinner over at Ho’s Restaurant on Van Ness. That Ho’s food is pretty good and the 1970′s Bruce Lee Kung Fu movie feel ain’t too bad either. Ho offers free delivery, good portions, and is reasonably priced. Took a ride with a shabby cabby who dropped us off in the middle of Stripper-Ville. Went to Comstock Saloon, had some drinks, some chats, then closed the place down. Hailing a cab ain’t easy in Stripper-Ville, so we hoofed it back to the spot.  It gave us a good opportunity to walk off some calories, enjoy the crisp SF air, and decorate the town.

Saturday was a day for recovery and preparation. We studied the area and made a plan of attack for the next day. Parking in the city is indeed a bitch, especially with all the ‘occupation’ but not enough to diminish her charm. Seen some protestors getting their hippie-drum-sing-and-dance-on and for a moment felt like we were part of history.

SHOWTIME SUNDAY

Woke up hoping the rain wouldn’t affect attendance the day of the show. It was a different type of set up for us. It was our fourth show so we were prepared this time. There is nothing better than going to an event and meeting new people, seeing people you already know and appreciating every moment of it. The vibe was good, the attendance was cool, the beer was near, the DJ was in front, the view was amazing, the people were beautiful! Someone even stopped by and shared the last minute of the Raider game with us. Much love to those who stopped by our booth and either copped a shirt, grabbed a sticker, chopped it up, introduced themselves, or just sneaked a peep from afar.

It was a successful day and to celebrate we headed over to Polk St. for some fine German Cuisine at Leopold’s where das boot kicked our ass. The host was super friendly and not that fake friendly either. It was genuine and that’s definitely something we can dig and the fact that she was easy on the eyes is a definite plus. We hadn’t eaten all day so we were ready to throw a grub. Sat at the bar and ordered a couple Augustiner Maximator’s and waited for our table. Service was excellent, food was delicious and a perfect way to end the day.
